Chinese wellness therapies have inspired many across the world to be more aware of their bodies, and there is no better place to enjoy the treatments than were they were developed.

INDIGENOUS OR SIGNATURE TREATMENTS

Traditional Chinese wellness treatments are commonly found throughout most major cities and provinces in China. Two of the most popular treatments are acupuncture and massages.

Acupuncture - the Chinese practice of piercing specific areas of the body along peripheral nerves with fine needles to relieve pain, induce surgical anesthesia, and for therapeutic purposes.

Chinese massage – a wide variety of massage therapies practiced within the realm of traditional Chinese medicine. In traditional Chinese practice, massages are part of basic wellness routines, along with dietary regulation, herbal medicine, acupuncture/moxibustion, and therapeutic exercise.
 

NATURAL WELLNESS CENTERS

China Wellness Centers

China has an extensive and rich network of hot springs. These natural wellness centers have waters that can range as low as 10 degrees and as high as 92 degrees and carry multiple minerals which are believed to be rehabilitating. Some of the most popular hot springs in China are as follows.

Jinshan Hot Spring Resort – located in the Guangdong province, it is known for its good water quality including 45 trace elements good for human body, appropriate temperature, and big hydraulic discharge, has 22 hot spring pools covering an 26,000 square-feet

Jiuhua SPA & Resort - in Changping District of Beijing, originally the royal garden exclusively used by emperors, is a five-star hotel built with a classical court garden. Each of room in this hotel has access to the hot spring.

Zhongshan Hot Spring Resort - in Guangdong province, built near mountains, has a total area of 98,425 -square-feetr outdoor spa. Different function and different size of hot springs are naturally scattered on the mountains from the top to the bottom.

Hailuogou Hot Spring - in Sichuan province is known for its beautiful natural scenery. It is strange that the average temperature is below 10 degrees, but its hot spring boasts a temperature of 92 degrees. It is a special experience to enjoy a light snow fall while bathing on the hot spring pool.
